CAN SA's mission is to lead the development of community arts and cultural practices through advocacy, collaboration, research and evaluation. As such, CAN SA influences community cultural development nationally through policy development and national advocacy.

We are also a Registered Training Organisation delivering both accredited and non-accredited arts sector-specific training.

Australia Council Review Released
On Tuesday 15 May 2012 Arts Minister Simon Crean released the results of an independent review of the Australia Council as part of the development of the National Cultural Policy.The Government will formally respond to the Review findings as part of the National Cultural Policy, which will be released later this year.
