It is CAN SA's Board of Management that is ultimately responsible for the governance of the organisation. Governance is about the control and direction of the organisation. It includes the authority given to the Board and the accountability and leadership of the organisation. Governance affects the whole organisation and looks at why the organisation is there, what are its values, who its stakeholders are, including its employees, and the way it goes about its business of carry out its mission. The Board is made up of dedicated and committed people drawn from the membership who give their time voluntarily. Their contributions to the organisation are highly valued.
